In the previous rotulus, we delved into the Arabic Hatred. It was highlighted how that the Arab nations around Israel have a persistent hatred towards the nation Israel. This hatred is not a new fact as we traced it all the way back to the days of Abraham yet this hatred was more pronounced in this end-time. The theme, “God’s end-time dealings with Israel” is to walk Israel through history and convey by the scriptures, expectations for Israel at this end of time.

Six-Day War

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

—Psalms 83:4

Let’s recall that the return of Israel back to her land after the holocaust, sets the stage for the end-time Arabic hatred. Many Prophecy teachers have taught that the 6-Day war is the fulfillment of Psalms 83 against Israel, and as such, they do not see the Miracle War. The truth here is that the 6-Day war is the beginning of the fulfillment of the Psalms 83 coalition which will usher in the Miracle War. Besides every other hostility between the Arabs and the Jews, the sequence is the 6-Day War, followed by the Yom Kippur War and finally the Miracle War.

The 6-Day War (also known as the June 1967 War) was fought between June 5 and 10, 1967 by Israel and her Arab neighbors which included Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon. With the Arabic coalition strengthening and Egyptian president Gamal Abdiel Nasser demonstrating support for Syria, and King Hussein of Jordan signing a mutual defense pact with Egypt, Israel was outnumbered and the odds were never in Israel’s favor. Israel responded on 5th June with a sudden preemptive air assault that destroyed more than 90% Egyptian Air Forces; also a similar assault on Syrian Air Forces and also Israel counter-attacked against Jordanian Forces in East Jerusalem. On June 11, a ceasefire was signed, but by then, Israel had captured the Gaza strip, the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, the West Bank (Including East Jerusalem), from Jordan and the Golan Heights from Syria.

We must not fail to see the hand of God in granting the Israeli Military might that enabled them to overcome their enemies. There are scriptures that could be applied to this war but the proper application of these scriptures would be in the Miracle War.

Let us recall that it is the Southern Tribes (Judah) that returned. This is all part of God’s instrumentation as Judah is the battle tribe (Judges 1:2).

And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.

—Judges 1:2

4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.
6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

—Zechariah 12:4-8

Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

—Zechariah 10:3

Truly, Judah is God’s goodly horse in the battle.

Yom Kippur War (1973)

The Yom Kippur War (also known as the Ramadan War or October War, 1973) was fought by a coalition of the Arab States led by Egypt and Syria against Israel from October 6–25, 1973. In the war, Israel was supported by the United States while the Arabic Coalition was supported by the then Soviet Union (we see the United States, Russia enmity play out here). This war was started on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism, and as the 6-Day War, Israel was outnumbered but again, Israel was victorious at the end. This brought about the 1978 Camp David Accords that allowed for the return of Sinai to Egypt.

Our focus is not on the historical details of these wars hence for more details on these wars, read up on Wikipedia and other historical materials. There is yet one more Arabic Coalition against Israel where God promises to deal with the old hatred (Ezekiel 25:15).

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;

—Ezekiel 25:15

This gives us the Miracle War and this allows for the fulfillment of certain prophecies pertaining to Israel.
