In the previous rotulus, we delved into the fishers and the hunters as stated in Jeremiah 16:16. It was emphasized, how that God sent fishers to start the process of restoration of Israel and when they wouldn’t yield, He, the Lord, sent hunters to hunt them from the crannies where they were dispersed and as a result of that, the nation Israel brought forth its leaves—a nation was formed in a day. The theme, “God’s endtime dealings with Israel” is to walk Israel through history and convey by the scriptures, expectations for Israel at this end of time.

Before we deal with this subject, we must make clear two points:

  • Not all the Nations that have hated Israel and fought against her since May 15, 1948, are Arabic by birth or lineage.
    Just like there are spiritual Israel, there are spiritual Arabs. We will try to trace the roots of these Nations but the most important fact we must know is that they are all united under the Islam Spirit.
  • This hatred didn’t just begin in 1948, it existed from the days of Isaac and Ishmael, Esau and Jacob.

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

Psalms 2:1-2

Like we have said earlier, not all these enemies of Israel are natural Arabs but they are spiritual Arabs in that Middle East region united under Islam. We shall now try to trace this enmity from the very beginning. Being all in the Middle East region, these enemies of the Jews are close relatives to Israel.

37 And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.
38 And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.

Genesis 19:37-38

Moab and Ammon were fathered by Lot, the nephew of Abraham. These two were supposed to be cousins with Israel but they have been a thorn in Israel’s eyes. Balak, the king of Moab, hired Balaam to curse Israel (Numbers 22, Numbers 23, Numbers 24) and become a stumbling block to Israel.

41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.

Genesis 27:41

Esau is a brother to Israel, yet we see the hatred in him against Israel. Esau is Edom, who had the Mount Seir. Edom refused the Israelites passage during the exodus (Numbers 20:14-21).

Later, Moab, Edom, and Ammon were frequently united in battles against Israel (2 Chronicles 20:22).

22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

2 Chronicles 20:22

The capital of Edom is Bozrah (Isaiah 63:1).

Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

Isaiah 63:1

9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

Genesis 21:9

Ishmael is brother to Isaac and subsequently, uncle to Israel. Ishmael would be driven away, yet God promised to make him a great nation (Genesis 21:13).

13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

Genesis 21:13

15 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;

Ezekiel 25:15

5 Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:

Ezekiel 35:5

Here, God is dealing with the old hatred these nations have against Israel.  Their ancestors hated Israel and their progeny and descendants this day hates Israel and wants to wipe Israel off from being a nation (Psalms 83:4) but He that watches Israel neither sleep nor slumber (Psalms 121:4).

middle east

We will try to place these nations in their correct locations today

  • Edom—Southern Jordan
  • Ishmael—Arabia
  • Moab—Central Jordan
  • Hagarenes—Egyptians
  • Gebal—Northern Lebanon
  • Amalek—Arab South of Israel, Sinai Peninsula
  • Philistia—Hamas of Gaza Strip, Westbank
  • Tyre and Sidon—Hezbollah, Southern Lebanon
  • Assur—Assyria / Syria

With Israel returning to her land in 1948, the stage was set for the Endtime Arabic hatred.

1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

Psalms 83:1-4

This was a Psalm of Asaph of which Psalms 50 and Psalms 73 to 83 are attributed to him. Many people view the Psalms as songs only, thereby missing great prophetic events mentioned in the Psalms, including the betrayal of the Messiah by Judas Iscariot. The enemies of the Jews have lifted up their heads, they have taken crafty counsel against Israel (Zephaniah 2:1, Zechariah 12:2), bringing about a confederation of Arab states against Israel (Psalms 83:6-8).

6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

Psalms 83:6-8

Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

Zephaniah 2:1

2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Zechariah 12:2-3

The United Nations, who is anti-God, pushed for a Two-State solution for the Middle East conflict. They have literally told Israel to do nothing but watch their Arab neighbors destroy them. Jerusalem today has been made a cup of trembling unto the people round about her and these people have come together in a diplomatic siege against Israel. Egypt is home to the International Arab Coalition and the main purpose of this body is to wipe Israel off. Jerusalem has also been made a burdensome stone for all people. This points to the United Nations who got furious at Donald Trump’s pronouncement of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in 2017. The United Nations went ahead to vote and only about 7 countries were in support of Israel. The stage is set, but let’s look at how the Arabic coalition went about, trying to fulfill Psalms 83:4.

Today, Jerusalem is considered by the Muslims as their 3rd most Holy site and standing on Mount Moriah where the Temple of Solomon was built is the Omar Dome of the Rock Mosque. With Israel dispersed in AD70, the Arabs moved in and when the Roman Catholic Church came on the scene, she wanted to possess Jerusalem and would go about creating Islam as her tool to take Jerusalem.
