In the previous rotulus, we delved into the first phase of restoration for the Nation of Israel. It was noted that the Nation Israel was divided before the dispersion and in history, only the Southern kingdom were restored, the Northern tribes were not restored. The theme, “God’s endtime dealings with Israel” is to walk Israel through history and convey by the scriptures expectations for Israel in this end of time.

The Nation Israel rejected their Messiah and God would cut them off the second time.

And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

—Matthew 24:2

23. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

—Luke 21:23-24

Jesus Christ prophesied of the destruction of the temple (c.f Mark 13:2) and in Luke 21:23-24, He gave a dual fulfilling prophecy which started to be fulfilled in A.D 70 and will complete its fulfilment in the seventieth week of Daniel (Daniel 9:27).

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

—Romans 11:25

Paul the Apostle later came to tell us that this was all part of God’s great plan to gather out a people among the Gentiles, a fulfilment of Hosea 1:10 and other old testament prophecies that spoke of the engrafting of the gentiles. This mystery is called The Mystery of God and must be accomplished between the 69th and the 70th Week of Daniel, as well as between the feast of Pentecost and The Feast of Trumpets (Daniel 9, Leviticus 23).

The Siege of Jerusalem AD. 70

History told us of the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple under General Titus Vespasian. It also told us that no christian died as they had all fled to Pella. [Ref: Wars and Antiquities of the Jews by Josephus]. This led to another scattering of the Jews and the land would lie desolate, even until the time of completion of The Mystery of God, which speaks of The Seven Gentile Church Dispensations. [Revelation 2, Revelation 3]. A Type is shown in Joshua, as the Israelites went round the Gentile world for Six days, which represents the Six Gentile Church Dispensations, but on the Seventh-day, they must possess the land. Though Israel would be restored, there is another dispersion for Israel in the future, even in the Seventieth Week of Daniel.
