WHAT IS THE NEW TESTAMENT?

There’s a growing fallacy amongst enthusiastic New-Age Christians to relegate the place of a victorious life. This they do by twisting scriptures to project a Christ who introduced a New Testament that requires those who would accept Him to simply, verbally profess belief in this Christ and in His death and that is sufficient to get them an automatic ticket! Is that what the New Testament is about?

THE PROCESS AND STAGES OF SALVATION

In the previous rotulus, we started looking at THE NATURE OF MAN. We pray God helps us as we deal with the issues of Salvation. God is interested in the Redemption of the COMPLETE MAN.

Paul highlighted: The Spirit—The Soul—The Body. Salvation comes from the Greek word “SOZO” which literally means ‘To Deliver’. So basically, when Jesus healed people in His day, he told them, your PISTIS has SOZO you. I am saying this, so we have a proper background of Salvation. There is Salvation as deliverance and there is the Salvation unto Redemption. We are focusing on SALVATION UNTO REDEMPTION

ANOTHER COMFORTER

The word of God is a book that runs in continuity and if there is any break in its pattern and consistency, it must be from our own “private interpretation” of it, for EVERY scripture is breathed out by God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

As the Flesh of the Man, Jesus was giving his earthly farewell, He promised His disciples what they so desperately needed at the time—Another Comforter. This is obviously because He was their comforter while He was with them hence the word “Another”. There are many who misconstrue this phrase to create a false picture of how the Holy Spirit is a separate entity of itself from God, even though scripture verily says God is Spirit (John 4:24).

THE MOVEMENT OF THE GOSPEL

We thank the Lord for the grace He has given us to be partakers of His glorious gospel.  This gospel is Light and Light travels in The Way.  We will be looking at the progression of the gospel from time and how it traveled over the course from the Jews, to the gentiles and how it would return back to the Jews after the close of this dispensation of grace.

THE MALACHI 4 PROPHETS

There have been different schools of thought as to who the prophets of Malachi 4:5-6 are. Some believe that this has been wholly fulfilled by John the Baptist, Some believe that it was fulfilled in totality by the Prophet of the age, William Marrion Branham. With a careful study of the scriptures, we would find out who the prophets of Malachi 4:5-6 are.

CHRISTMAS

It’s that season of the year again where the whole world (Christians and non-Christians alike) engage in the celebration of Christmas. However, let’s take a glance at the Word of God concerning this subject.

According to the World, Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. You will likely hear things like “He is the reason for the season.” But I have some questions which I would like to ask in this short piece

  • Was Jesus really born December 25th?
  • Did Jesus tell us to remember his birth?
  • What’s the origin of Christmas?

WATER BAPTISM

Different unscriptural opinions on the doctrine of water baptism have plagued the supposed Christendom in this day but we must know that the scriptures hold the answer to every scriptural question. In this rotulus, I will speak expressly on water baptism seeking to address two things:

  1. Is water baptism crucial to salvation?
  2. How should water baptism be administered?

THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM IN HIS DEATH

As a continuation of our previous thoughts on Coming to the Knowledge of Jesus Christ, we would consider the last part of the Knowledge of our Loving Savior that Paul, his ambassador, highlights in the scripture below:

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

—Philippians 3:10

As we discussed the first two parts in the previous rotulus, (The Power of His Resurrection and The Fellowship of His Sufferings)—a background worth having before reading this rotulus, we will now see what the “Knowledge of the Conformity to His Death” brings.

A STRONG DELUSION – PART 1

The word DELUSION, according to the dictionary, describes “an idiosyncratic belief or impression maintained despite being contradicted by reality or rational argument“. Another source, WebMD, says it is “an unshakable belief in something that isn’t true“. These are very relevant definitions; now consider how the bible defines strong delusion:

….because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:2 Thessalonians 2:10-11

COMING TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST

A man and wife relationship often begins with Courtship, which lasts for a while, after which the marriage proper follows. Altogether, these two events span many years and the two parties gradually begin to “know” each other—a  knowledge that they would never attain if they weren’t daily interacting and communing in an open-hearted fashion. The relationship with our bridegroom isn’t very different. After we may have known him in a perfect understanding of the Godhead (A perfect understanding of who He is, and what He represents to us), which is eternal life, then we begin to grow in the knowledge of Him.
